M&A worked with the Pacific Arbour team to develop and implement community engagement strategies for two independent seniors residences on the North Shore of Vancouver. 

Intracorp/Anavets Housing Society
 - North Vancouver 
M&A helped Intracorp and Anavets gain approvals for a creative market/non- market partnership in the City of North Vancouver.

Polygon Homes/North Vancouver School District - North Vancouver 
M&A worked closely with Polygon the local School District and HYAD (Housing for Young Adults with Disabilities) to secure City of North Vancouver approval for a three-part project including multi-family market housing, new school board offices and art museum as well as an independent living apartment block for HYAD. 

MK Delta Lands Group - Delta
M&A is currently advising MK Delta Lands Group on their extensive holdings in the important suburban Vancouver community of Delta, BC.

Grosvenor and Palladium - St. Andrews Project, North Vancouver
M&A joined the project team at a critical juncture in this exciting medium density infill project on land formerly owned by the Lions Gate Hospital.  Through intensive community dialogue and close work with the city’s planning department, M&A and their client were able to show clear support for a revised project plan which alleviated initial concerns and created a real value for existing residents in this established neighborhood on Vancouver’s North Shore. Council subsequently voted unanimously to support the project in its revised form.

Wesbild Properties - Burke Mountain, Coquitlam
M&A developed a comprehensive communications strategy for Wesbild’s Burke Mountain land holdings, a 400+ acre site which is part of a larger planning area intended to house over 10,000 residents. This will include an extensive and complex public consultation process. In addition to beginning the implementation process M&A helped in the integration of a new full time Community Relations Manager to carry on the work. Wesbild has since received approval for its first two neighbourhood plans, a third is in process, The long awaited David Ave. Corridor and Bridge are opened and the City is moving forward on its own Burke Mountain lands.

Grosvenor - Bermuda Manor, Vancouver
Grosvenor Capital was seeking a smooth transition for residents of its recently acquired Kerrisdale rental apartment building.  The client was moving towards a redevelopment of this significant building site. No rezoning was needed but Grosvenor’s desire to be a community leader led them to engage M&A in the strategic planning process for this site.

Channel Ridge Properties, Salt Spring Island, BC
Channel Ridge Properties needed to move forward on a long awaited re zoning application on this largest and most populated of BC’s
Gulf Islands.  Well known as a body of opinion surrounded by water, Salt Spring’s outspoken populace were engaged by M&A over a period of months with the result of a provisional agreement between the client and the Islands Trust.   The project has successfully proceeded through rezoning towards development and sales.

M&A worked with BC Packers Ltd. and the City of Richmond planning department to develop a mutually acceptable public consultation process to consider rezoning the Steveston-based BCP lands, Imperial Landing. Several awards were received for this project, including the CPRS Signature Award of Excellence for Outstanding Communications

Simon Fraser University Lands, Burnaby
M&A assisted the university with the OCP amendment involving the transfer of 820 acres of SFU land to the City of Burnaby in exchange for an amendment to the OCP allowing for a broader range of development within the SFU ring road. Marzolf & Associates worked closely with the City of Burnaby, the university, and the community throughout the project, resulting in unanimous approval by Burnaby City Council for the project. Today, the first neighbourhood of “UniverCity” is well underway, providing the foundation of a unique sustainable mountaintop community.

Langara College, Vancouver
M&A handled the public consultation component of the 1994 rezoning approval for the Langara College expansion proposal and further successful application for a Comprehensive Development by-law amendment to allow for paid parking on campus. M&A was involved in overall supervision of the process with the college and the City of Vancouver Engineering Branch

Oakridge Centre (Ivanhoe Cambridge),
Vancouver
Marzolf participated in a comprehensive community relations planning program spanning three years and involving thousands of community members. The strategic program transformed the Oakridge Shopping Centre from a successful shopping centre to an intentional, corporate minded citizen deserving of rezoning approval, doubling its current size. Council, previously skeptical of the application voted unanimously to approve the rezoning after hearing positive community input. Councillor Gordon Price described the application as “textbook” recommending other developers model applications in a similar fashion.
